Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie- Joanna Newsom
And some machines are dropped from great heights lovingly
And some great bellies ache with many bumblebees
Last night I dreamt that I was on an undercover operation with Sherman Alexie to take down a band of neo-nazis who were based in a series of tunnels that ran underneath Woodland mall. Also I got bit in the hand by a coyote.
I am sitting in Devos trying to work on things, and all I can do is stare at this girl who’s sitting by me because her hair is so big—I’m trying to figure out whether or not she’s wearing a Bumpit. I’m going to get nothing done.
Honors senior project = approved.
My roommate and I plan to create poems and prints together, exploring a specific topic, which we will then showcase in Calder art gallery.
Am I allowed to say how excited I am for the work I get to do next semester?
Can I tell you how happy I am to be working in conjunction with Stephanie Kelsey, the wonderfully talented print-maker/ roommate?
Should I even begin to tell you how much I love mixed-media projects?
I am a nerd about these things. I am sorry.
I can’t tell you how much I love morning and evening runs through the dune trails and along the lake side when I go home to Grand Haven for the weekend. I honestly can’t think of anything more lovely.
My roommate likes to change her desktop background to photos of either Lauren or I, by ourselves, stretched out or tile-mode. She doesn’t tell us she’s doing it. We’ll just happen to look at her computer and notice and she acts like it’s no big deal.
We turned on our heat today!
This means:
- My goosebumps are finally going away
- We no longer have to dress like this around the house
- I am a happy camper
